Steve Wysong Joins AEA Board of Directors

Steve WysongSteve Wysong, president of Wysong Enterprises of Blountville, Tennessee, has been appointed by David Loso, chairman of the AEA board of directors, to complete the term of a vacated director seat. He replaces Brian Wilson who stepped down from the board after accepting a different position within the industry. Wysong has served on the AEA’s government and industry affairs committee, and he has participated in several FAA/industry rotorcraft forums hosted by the AEA.

Since the early 1970s, Wysong has worked in various niches of the aviation industry, including helicopters, airliners, corporate jets and small airplanes. Today, Wysong Enterprises is one of the few independent customizing facilities still owned by field-test aviation professionals.

In the 1980s, when electronic news gathering was in its infancy, Wysong saw the need for the customization of media helicopters. As equipment became more complex, TV stations across North America returned to Wysong for the company’s expertise in these highly technical integrations. For the last several years, many of the major news events seen from the air have been made possible by Wysong equipment installations. The company has leveraged its strong background and reputation into all types of helicopter customizations, repairs, maintenance and refurbishment.
